The Whittlesey indoor bowls club is a friendly
members club,
run by the members for the members.
It is run entirely
by volunteers. |
We uniquely have 5 individual rinks
They are available for league games and roll-ups from
the beginning of September to the end of April each year
between 9am-9pm Monday-Friday.
Friendlies and
weekend leagues are also played on Saturday and Sundays.
We
also run friendly roll-ups throughout the summer.

We currently have about 250 members some of
which are
just
social members.
We are actively seeking and would welcome
new
members of
all ages and abilities. |

We would like very much to start a junior
league,
so we would love to hear from prospective
younger members. |
Bowls is a sport that is suitable for everyone;
There
is
no
age limit!
However when attending the club,
children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. |

It is a great sport and an enjoyable way of
getting
all the family moving! |
Membership is just £45 per year for senior
members
£5 for those still in full time education
TO THE AGE OF 18
Rink fees are £2.50 per person per 2-hour game.

We have a
licensed bar
and both the bowls and the petanque rinks can
be hired for
private parties
to members if they are available.
|
We also have kitchen facilities so the premises
may be booked by members for
birthday parties etc; during the summer season when things are
quieter.
Catering may also be available on request. |

Should you require someone, we can highly
recommend a
singer entertainer, who can also offer
disco, karaoke and children’s
entertainment,
but this would require us applying for a temporary entertainments
license in advance.

We work alongside The Fenland District Council
and Fendis,
an organization that
Encourages
the disabled to take part in sport.
Currently, we have two disabled groups
that play each week.
The one opposite is the Fendis Group and we also have
a partially sighted group
